Carrying the rather excessively Scandinavian name of Stig Høgset (and thanking the gods we don't follow Icelandic naming rites, despite their otherwise badassness), I come from the western coast of Norway and work at Ekornes, a Scandinavian furniture manufacturing company.

Hailing from the ancient age of '72, I've been a fan of anime since I was 20 or so, but I've pretty much been an animation fan even before before that. Aside from the most known stuff -- Disney, Warner Bros or Hanna Barbera -- it also includes a lot of European stuff. (More than half of whose name I have long since forgotten.)

My anime interest started with 3x3 eyes and whatever else I could get my hands on via fairly expensive UK imports on VHS tapes. Naturally, my purchases were filled with all kinda of ups and downs, some of which I even reviewed here.

When the latest version of the THEM anime site was created, I was chosen to become one of the staff. And then, so many years ago I've pretty much forgotten when, I rose to the rank of editor and administrator here, a position I'm trying my damnest to live up to. (Well, mostly the "editor" part; I'm fully aware that my English isn't exactly perfect.)

Outside of anime, I've got quite a few other interests. Movies -- which includes TV/movie production classes as a one-year study, leading to several odd products of variable quality on my merit list. Music -- which also includes the playing of guitar and keyboard, though strictly on an amateur level -- and listening tastes that run pretty much all over the place, including progrock/metal, electronica and others. Photography, something I picked up as an addition to a digital camera, which mostly consists of nature and scenery in a huge picture collection on my PC. And lastly, video games, an interest I've carried along for as long as I can remember -- mostly centered around retrogaming collections and the likes from the times when gaming used to be more of a social affair.

And that, as they say, is that. Well, maybe not, but I think this'll do for a bio, at least for now.
