Wednesday Evening Blues.

So yes, late again. I blame Christmas.

Anyway, our review for this week is Valvrave the Liberator, which, according to Nick, is a pretty terrible show. Which means.... if any of you watched any of this yesterday or the day before, then... I'm sorry. It's all my fault.

Yeah, that was a depressing thought, wasn't it? At least next week will be better, provided Christmas doesn't ruin that too. See you then... I hope.

A Whole New AppROACH.

...sorry.

But yes, Nick really found something else here: an attempt to MOEify cockroaches, of all things, and it is named Gokicha! Cockroach Girls, because why be subtle about it now?! According to Nick, it's short, weird and actually quite alright.

Next week is... well, to put it short, it's not going to be pleasant. Brace yourselves.

Move it, short stuff!

Well, time for me and Nick to bring you the lowdown on two relatively short shows -- mostly in episode length, so it's a literal thing too.

Nick really got the short straw too, because he ended up with Plastic Nee-san, which has only two minutes to spare for each episode, and, according to him, it's two minutes (times twelve) you could just as well have spent on something else.

One of those options could always be my own contribution for the week; Wakaba*Girl, a relatively easily digestible comedy trial of cute. With eight minutes per episode, it's definitely a bit more fulfilling.

And that's that. Next week, we will take a look at one of those other small things that scuttle around in the dark. Probably. See you then.

Well... I guess I have no right to judge high-schoolers being late for school anymore, huh?

So... uh... sorry about that. What good is it welcoming you back next Monday if I don't make the update on said day?

Anyway, here is the review I was supposed to put up two days ago: Mushi-shi: The Next Chapter, and since I did the review for the original series and Nick did the review for the 50 minute OAV that followed it, the decision was made that the new series should be a collab between the two of us. Which was even easier to do, because we both agreed that this series was a wonderful follow-up to an already pretty great show. Welcome to the Five Star Family, Mushi-shi. You've earned it.

Next week, if I can manage to avoid being tardy again, will see me and Nick get the short end of the stick... in that literal way of us reviewing very short shows. See you then.

-Stig Høgset, sheepishly late.
