Another Friday, another Top 20 List.

We continue our tradition this month of Top 20 Anime Lists of the 00's on Fridays. Today we have fellow staff member Robert Lu sharing his top 20 list. Click here to see his Top 20.

Next week we should wrap up the Top 20 lists with Bradley, who will finally share with us his own list. We should also (hopefully) have the top 20 list based on compiled data from our readers on the forum as well.

See you next time, and have a great weekend!

You have the right to read on...

If any of you have checked my profile on this site, or read my recently added top 20 list, you might have noticed that You're Under Arrest ranks as one of my favorite shows. The first season, while not specifically applicable on that list, is still one of the best things ever, and the second season actually did a fairly good job upholding that tradition.

So when the third season, Full Throttle, rolled around (no pun intended), I jumped at the chance to watch and review it. To put it shortly, it's... not quite up there with the other seasons (THE "NO MERCY" SPECIAL DOESN'T EXIST!!!!), but it's alright. Really.

Next Monday I'll return with something a bit more Ghibli-ish. Stay with us.

A no-frills top 20 list from our next guest....

Next up on our "best of the aughts" project is Chad Clayton, one of the reviewers from Anime Jump, a now (sadly) inactive anime review site. He's also written some reviews for various manga in PopMatters.

So, without further delay, here is his list. See you this upcoming Monday for a review, and we also have yet another list for you next Friday.

This ain't your average "girl power" show.

It's your average sports show. It's just starring girls... who challenge the boys to a showdown on their own turf.

The show in question is called Taishou Yakyuu Musume, and this time we have two reviews for you from this show; one being another collaboration by Tim and me, and the second opinion coming from Diane Tu.

Next week, I visit the most recent season of a classic, so please look forward to that.

"The friends of your friends are my friends.

...or something like that.

When we set out to mark our top 20 anime of the last decade, we invited two of our cross-site colleagues and friends to parttake in this experiment. One of them is Jason Huff, whose reviews can be read over at The Anime Review. (And you should.) Unlike THEM, The Anime Review is a one-man show, which makes it all the more impressive, particularly since he's been doing this for quite some time.

As a bonus, Jason even threw in his top/bottom five anime trends. So head on over and start reading.

"I just can't stop dreaming of you ever day, every way."

Darn you, Dance Dance Revolution. Specifically NAOKI and Paula Terry.

Anyway, today's review is of Sasameki Koto, a yuri romantic comedy of 2009. You would think that a series that combines two of my least favorite genres of anime would get only scorn from me, but you might be surprised to see what I thought. Find out for yourself what my opinion is on this series.

Next week we bring two reviews of the same series - an overlooked baseball show from last year. And don't forget to watch out for Bradley's Top 20 Anime of the 00's, which he should have up soon.

See you all later!

If I'm lucky, I might get to do this one more time.

Last Friday, Tim posted his top 20 of the decade, and now it's my turn. And while I may be an old stick-in-the-mud at times, let it be known that things aren't necessarily all better back in the old days. So here is my list. Now get off my lawn and go take a look at it.

Darling, Won't You Easy My Worldly Mind

Put on a sad song while reading this review of Aoi Hana, another excellent series that aired last year. It's shorter than I'd normally like my reviews to be, but that's more time you can spend watching the series, right?

Some goodies in the near future- more Best of the Decade lists, and Tim continues talking about yuri with our next review.

Until then,

Bradley

Late Bulletin

Here at THEM we pride ourselves with our dedication to updating our site once a week, bringing you fresh reviews of anime and manga. Some of us are goofballs, though, and forget to even start the anime we're slated to review until two days before the update is due. Actually, there's only one goofball. And that's me.

But no worries! Check back here tomorrow for a new review of one the best series that aired last year.

Sorry for the delay,

Bradley

Happy New Decade

First off, Happy New Year!

Second, today, and scattered across the remainder of the month, we here at THEM Anime are going to share with you, our readers, our Top 20 Favorite Anime of the 00's. You can find each of the upcoming articles in the Editorials section of the site, located in the Extras section linked above. I went first, so click right on this link to see what my top 20 favorite anime of the 00's were.

Brad will be on Monday to present to you a new review of a fairly popular series from last year. See you then.
