Uzaki-chan Wants To Get Serious.

The first season of this show was a fairly typical rom-com with some fairly unusual characters, and wouldn't you know it, season 2 of Uzaki-chan Wants To Play doubles down on everything and, maybe even more surprising, really goes into the whole somewhat dysfunctional relationship between our main couple and their respective families. And it's pretty good. Well... decent to good.

And that's it for this week. Next week, things are about to get a good bit more bonkers. See you all then.

Smashing the Crumbs.

This week, Allen takes a look at Lucifer and the Biscuit Hammer, and he finds it lacking. Too many people wit skewed priorities, I guess.

Next week's not gonna be so bad, though. In fact, if anything, the little gremlin is quite OK. See you all then.

The Birds and the Bold.

Allen's pick of the week is Raven of the Inner Palace, an absolute masterpiece of a show. Can't go wrong with vaguely historical(?), classical stories, right?

And that's our lot this week. Next week, Allen's gonna bring down the hammer on the deserving. See you all then.

The Boys Are Almost As Alright As Ladies Not-Appearing-In-This-Film.

Yep, Allen takes a look at Goodbye, Don Glees!, and finds it only slightly worse than a certain other series Atsuko Ishizuka has been involved with, and that I had the pleasure of collabing with on the review. So yeah, give it a read.

And that's that. Next week is gonna be a heck of a lot more cultural. And also good. See you all then.

Summer Poltergeist Life Issues.

But first, apologies for last week's update being a day late. I was waylaid by the flu so hard, it completely flew by my entirely feverish, knocked-out mind.

Anyway, this week Allen gives Summer Ghost a look and find it a bit lacking in that "I kinda expected more to this" kind of a deal, although he muses that with the movie being a 40 minute event, maybe the issue is a lack of funding?

And that's that. Next week, it's time for another movie that will hopefully fare a bit better. See you all then.
