Another day, another update.

Yesterday, I had the good fortune to introduce our readers to three top-rate shows. Three shows that have been awarded five stars from our team of reviewers.

So today, I decided to go with the polar opposite. Today, you will be subjected to reviews from shows that have subjected the audience to pain. Pain that will linger for some time to come.

First out is Jake, who suffered through Ichigo 100%. Unsurprisingly, the show is a harem that builds its story around panties. And, naturally, being a harem show, its chances weren't good in the first place.

Next on the list is Hourglass of Summer, bravely seconded as total crap by Mippa. Whether or not the fact that the anime is based on a dating game should be held against it is still up for discussion, but in a case seen all too often, it just ISN'T WORKING. It rarely does.

Still, if AIR or FATE/STAY NIGHT has shown us something, then that would be that an anime based on a game doesn't necessarily have to be bad. However, in Soul Link's case, the show just fails spectacularly on every single level. As such, I decided to pull no punches when writing the review.

And that concludes our little part in the trials and tribulations of THEM. Join us again tomorrow, where things are bound to even out a little.

- Stig Høgset.

Note: Apparently, I haven't gotten the hang of the sidebar updates yet. I'm still working on that, so here's hoping yesterdays and todays update will show up at SOME point in the near future.

Hookay, let's give this a shot!

Hi, I'm Stig Høgset of THEM Anime, and by the power vested in me by the Sultan, over the next couple of days I will be putting new reviews on the site while slowly getting the hang of this update system. I ask you all to bear with me. Now, on with the show.

First out is one of my own reviews, and a continuation of the serene slice-of-life series Aria. Aria the Natural immediately starts off where the last season ended and is generally another helping of Aria for its fans.

Delving more into the deeper psychological workings of man, Dominic grants you a review to match the anime; the gigantic work of art that is Monster. Expect a review as long as the show, and just as indepth.

And if that sounds a little bit too dark and serious for you, Mippa delivers a review for another show where a poor young soul is somehow mistaken for the other gender and somehow finds herself at the mercy of a group of prettyboys. So, is it any good? Well.... yes, in fact, it is all that it's cracked up to be and THEN some. Ouran High School Host Club is its name. Go watch.

Thank you for your time and patience, ladies and gentlemen, and I shall see you again tomorrow with more reviews.

Stig Høgset.

Note: If I've done this correctly, then the new reviews shall be making an appearance in the sidebar somewhere within the next 24 hours. In the mean time, they WILL be available in the review list.

Also, to mirror the official Geneon release, the Erementar Gerad review has been altered to reflect the official title of the US release; Elemental Gelade.

Changes in the Air

Effective immediately, I'm resigning as Editor-in-Chief. No, don't worry, this site isn't closing -- we have plenty of reviews ready for upload. However, I've found my interest in the hobby decreasing over the last year, and the site's really suffered for it. In my place, I've appointed a ruling Junta of review staff to take my place: Enoch, Stig, Bob, and Mippa.

It's been a wonderful six years as Editor-in-Chief, and I will remain as advisor, forum admin, and reviewer as long as time and motivation allow for it.

Cheers!

-Carlos Ross
