In Your Dreams, Boy!

So yeah, Allen takes a look at 18IF, which he thinks of as "Kanon (2006), except boring", which, if you're not a fan of the Kanon remake to begin with, that's really saying it all, isn't it?

Next week, it'll all go to hell, and that can only get better, right?

Statutory Red Tape.

This week, Julian starts us off on Kaze to Ki no Uta, which he thinks of as a classic melodrama, type BL. It's an interesting curiosity that was apparently not given enough time to shine. Probably. Or properly.

Meanwhile, Nicoletta takes a look at Sekkou Boys, and proceeds to laugh her ass off. It's a really weird show, but, according to Nicoletta, the right kind of weird.

And that's it for this week. We hope you all enjoyed it, because next week, things might get uncomfortable instead. Stay tooned.

Choose Your Poison...

Yep. Choose. And you will, because we actually have two reviews for two shows that are actually good. Not easy, necessarily, but good.

Allen's poison of choice is.... well, maybe I shouldn't say. School Live! doesn't for almost the entire first episode, though I'm sure most of you already know its secret. But even if you don't, Allen would still like you to watch it.

Julian's poison of choice might be even better, but it's one that's going to make you feel positively ill. He warns you all that Made in Abyss is NOT an easy poison to swallow, as poisons are wont to be. But as much as watching this show will wound you where it really hurts, Julian assures you you'll be glad you did.

That got weird in a hurry. But hooo boy, not nearly as weird as at least one of the shows we have reviews for next week. See you all then.

Convenience Store Flowers.

This week, Julian Malerman continues his long journey through the Monogatari franchise with Hanamonogatari, and he finds it... really, really good. And this is a very divisive franchise to begin with.

Meanwhile, Allen looked into Convenience Store Boyfriends, which he finds a bit on the dense side. It is, surprisingly enough, not a show about various hot guys who are personifications of various convenience stores in Japan, so... that's something?

At least there were some fun times to be had here? Because next week, hell walks the Earth in some manner or the other.
