And we ended up on monster girls. I watched through Monster Girl Doctor, and pretty much went "eeeeeeeeeeh, it's OK, I guess." And it is.

And so, Twin Spica now has a twin review, as I was more than happy to do a second opinion of it after having watched it as part of our traditional synchro sessions. It was a 2003 show that looked more like a 90's show, but still holds up really, really well by today's storytelling standards.

That is to say, I had to read the title of Allen's next project -- Heaven Official's Blessing - several times to not read it as "Heaven's Official". Even weirder, Allen lets another Haoliner show step even higher up on the quality ladder. Clearly, me and Mel started on the wrong end.

So yeah, Allen's pick of the week is Penguin Highway, which is a bit of a look at the special kind of love that can only take place when your home gets invaded by thousands and thousands of penguins. And the moral of the story is... there's no better wingman than someone who actually has wings? Even if they can't be used to fly? I was going somewhere with this, I think.
