A Thousand Points of Light.

So yeah, apparently Allen's choice of the week, The Legend of Hei, is going all enviromental on us, and not necessarily in a good way. I guess it's hard not to get political in a review when the show itself is so heavily steeped in it.

Anyway, next week, it's time for a classic that kinda got a rough start on the whole remake thing, as a lot of them do. See you all then.

"Liz the Bluebird On My Shouldeeeeer...."

Allen won out, it seems, and so we get a look at Liz and the Blue Bird, which is apparently part of the whole Sound! Euphonium franchise. Gotta love them side stories, huh?

And that's that. Next week, things miiiight get a bit awkward. See you all then.

Mugging the Screens With Labors of Love.

Today, we take a look at Let's Make a Mug Too, another rather nice slice of life that already has a second season planned. If what this show has anything to say about it, I am already looking forward to it.

And that's that. Next week, we will either be looking into the ol' homestead for the downtrodden or maybe Allen will have something for us. See you all then.

The Sixteen Year Shadow.

Most people would probably not be all that eager to take a teenage girl home with them, especially ones that offers you the opportunity to "do them". The main character of HigeHiro: After Being Rejected, I Shaved and Took in a High School Runaway, however, sees nothing wrong in functioning as some kind of surrogate parent. And how does it do that? Quite well, actually.... at first.

And that's this week's offering. Next week, we'll have more on our plates, but who provides the plates? See you all then.

The Young Buck and the Five Seven Five.

So, Allen decides to take on the colorful little drama movie Words Bubble Up Like Soda Pop, which he finds to be a cozy movie about teenage self-consciousness and the hunt for some sweet, sweet vinyl. It's good. A little safe, but generally good.

And that's that. Next week, it's time for a shave and a fated meeting under the street lamp. See you all then.
